pSEVA Wizard

A step-by-step wizard to design your pSEVA construct

The Standard European Vector Architecture (SEVA) involves a set of rules for the physical assembly of the three basic components of plasmid vectors such as origin of replication, selection marker and the business cargo.
Each of the modules is flanked by fixed, rare restriction sites:

  • origin of replication by FseI and AscI;
  • antibiotic marker by SwaI and PshA;
  • and the cargo by PacI and SpeI.
CSIC and Officinae Bio teamed up together to bring the versatility of the SEVA architecture together with the power of Officinae Bio's bioCAD to unlock the full potential of synthetic biology.

Design a pSEVA vector

Design your pSEVA constructs by simply:

  1. upload your DNA cargo as .gb or .fasta or directly type in the sequence,
  2. name your pSEVA construct
Officinae Bio's wizard will assemble your pSEVA construct carrying your sequence and let you choose the other biomodules among hundreds of options. The power of pSEVA is just few clicks away, start immediately!

SEVA was developed by CSIC and is free of charge for research use only. For commercial purpose, please contact SEVA collection curator "seva at cnb.csic.es".

Accepted inputs: A, C, G, T, W (weak: A, T), S (strong: C, G ), M (amino: A, C), K (keto: G, T), R (purine: A, G ), Y (pyrimidine: C, T), B (not A), D (not C), H (not G), V (not T), N (any basebase)
Blast BP: 0
Sequence and name fields will be overridden
Biosafety level*
By selecting the biosafety level corresponding to the project, customer confirms that (i) such classification is correct and accurate and (ii) that the customer has read, understood and accepted the biosafety confirmation.
