pET-15b N-terminus

The biomodule carries the N-terminal sequence of pET-15b encoding for a 6x histidine tag and a thrombine cleavage site. The 6x histidine tag epitope is used for protein purification in combination with Ni-NTA affinity columns, while the thrombine site can be used for a proteolytic cleavage of the fusion protein from the purification tag. The biomodule is part of pET plasmids used in combination with an E. coli strain carrying the T7 RNA polymerase gene. pET plasmids and parts thereof were developed by Novagen and are available for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
