This placeholder is intended for vector backbone such as plasmids, viral vectors, cosmids, and artificial chromosomes. Common to all engineered vectors are an origin of replication (ORI), a multicloning site (MCS), and a selectable marker (MK).

“DNAmate Level 0 bck”
Backbone of a high copy number plasmid compatible with DNAmate assembly, containing an ampicillin resistance gene and the origin of replication from pUC plasmids. The extremities of the biomodule contain IIs restriction sites for the excision of the insert biomodule to be used in cloning techniques based on Golden Gate, such as DNAmate and MoClo. The backbone was also optimized for cloning using the Gibson assembly protocol.
