pET-28b N-terminus
The biomodule carries the N-terminal sequence of pET-28b encoding for a 6x histidine tag, a thrombine site and a T7 epitope. The 6x histidine and T7 tag epitopes are used for protein purification in combination respectively with Ni-NTA affinity and immunoaffinity columns, while the thrombine site can be used for a proteolytic cleavage of the fusion protein from the 6x histidine purification tag. The biomodule is part of pET plasmids used in combination with an E. coli strain carrying the T7 RNA polymerase gene. pET plasmids and parts thereof were developed by Novagen and are available for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
