CIDAR DVK backbone
DVK (also known as DVL1) backbone is meant for Level 1 CIDAR constructs carrying multiple biomodules assembled using GoldenGate assembly method. For this reason, DVK does not carry any BsaI or BsmBI restriction site that are usually employed in type-IIS assembly methods. It is a high copy number plasmid carrying kanamycin resistance. The replication origin is a pUC19-derived pMB1 (copy number of 100-300 per cell). All sequences of the CIDAR collection were designed by the Densmore Lab at the Boston University and are provided as they are and solely for research purpose.
